![]() Art Applewhite and his 18" Delta Flying Saucer after a safe "Active Recovery" Flight prep was not so safe however. Notice the bandage on the little finger of Art's left hand (the one holding the flying saucer). He cut his hand while modifying the motor mount to accept the "Full Beard". After bleeding like a stuck pig, Art was saved by the lovely Debbie Bachelder, the better half of Mr. Quickburst, David Bachelder. The Rocket Gods, having received a blood sacrifice, were satisfied and granted Art an easy certification in front of an appreciative crowd which included NAR President, Trip Barber. |

Kevin J. McFarland 54mm, 16" Stealth with Aerotech J90W motor August 6, 2005 at the UROC HellFire 11 launch at the Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah Remarks: It was just as much of a crowd pleaser (if not more) as the N flights. The salt is like concrete but the Stealth had little damage.
